For the last eighteen months I’ve been an artist in residence at Dunmoochin in Cottles Bridge.
This has provided the opportunity for me to explore the back roads of the area, during all the seasons: the winter and spring when everything is green and inviting, and then the hot dry summer and autumn months when the colours change to yellows and ochres, when rain is but fleeting and the land seems to sleep, waiting.
My works depicts the countryside throughout the year.
My background is in tonal painting, although there is an evolving style: an unconscious creative response to the area.
