Nillumbik Prize for Contemporary Art 2021

This year Nillumbik Shire Council celebrates the 17th anniversary of the Nillumbik Prize for Contemporary Art, a prestigious exhibition showcasing excellence in contemporary art. Forty local and national artists have been selected for the finalist exhibition, which brings together a variety of responses to the theme Return in diverse mediums including sculpture, painting, printmaking, installation, moving-image, photography, ceramic, and mixed media. This year’s Prize judges are Annika Kristensen, Senior Curator, Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA), Georgia Cribb, Director, Bunjil Place Gallery, and Victoria Lynn, Director, TarraWarra Museum of Art.
