The In-Between explores the dreamlike state of meditation with contemporary classical music for flute and percussion by a diverse range of Australian and international composers. The listener will be taken on a journey through various forms of dreaming, highlighting bizarre imaginations and vivid memories, before being led through music inspired by rapids and streams, and trances, reflecting American novelist Herman Melville’s observation that “meditation and water are wedded forever”.
