Raphael Skipper Kilpatrick is a self-described ‘roustabout’ applying himself informally to salvaging, building, maintenance, gardening, design and cooking.
Raphael has a Masters in Disaster, Design and Development and has contributed to community based development projects in Ecuador, Peru and Japan. He is currently a PhD candidate at RMIT School of Architecture and Urban Design. His research explores the role building process has in forming positive community and environmental relationships.
Raphael has worked with local not-for-profit organisations such as Schoolhouse Studios and co-founded The Social Studio in 2009. He is now a Director at Montsalvat, a place he lived and worked during his formative years.
