The line-up will feature wonderful vocalist and Eltham resident Emma Gilmartin and again local hero Jeff Vague (saxophone).
Together with Phil Rex (bass), Andrew Swann (drums) and Mark Matthews (guitar), this will be an afternoon of world-class music – an engaging concert featuring some of your favourite jazz classics arranged for this occasion.
THE MUSICIANS
Steve Sedergreen
One of the country’s most dynamic jazz pianists, renowned for his inviting style with his fellow musicians and the audience alike.
Emma Gilmartin
Has a reputation as one of Australia's most talented jazz vocalists. Her voice is undeniably beautiful with "a crystalline purity of vibrato-less tone and flawless pitch that is so perfect it is almost unsettling" (Leon Gettler, The Age Green Guide).
Phil Rex
Philip Rex is one of Australia's most in-demand musicians, being a leading exponent of the double bass. His musical skill and versatility is always noted by musicians and critics alike.
Andrew Swann
On stage he is irrepressible, bringing a unique energy, together with jazz stories and songs from his time in New York.
Jeff Vague and Mark Matthews are joining this wonderful ensemble as mentees of Steve – a classic example of his generous and inclusive approach to music.
