Stemming from a feminist perspective and lack of historical reference to women wearing armour, this exhibition navigates the resistance of the female body as a powerful defensive and protective entity.
This series Armour explores the different aspects of protection, as a layering process of security in the form of outer body protection, biological protection, and technological security with the ocular series.
Natalie’s work investigates translucency, texture and light, fluctuating between the figurative and abstract. She works with latex, challenging its boundaries through innovative processes of application and documentation, inviting a closer look.
