The Grumpiest Boy in the World
From the wacky imaginations of children’s author and playwright Finegan Kruckemeyer and composer Joseph Twist comes a youth opera about a very irritable seven-year-old.
Frustrated with his awfully middling life, Zachary Briddling travels to places where giants and hairy creatures are residents, and discovers that anyone can stand out, no matter how ordinary they believe they are.
As part of their inaugural community youth project, Montsalvat and Victorian Opera present a semi-staged performance of this irresistibly joyful and wildly imaginative youth opera, The Grumpiest Boy in the World. The performance takes place in the beautiful and wondrous Great Hall at Montsalvat, setting the scene for your imagination to run wild.
Starring a cast of singers aged 13 – 25, this Australian opera will have you smiling in your seats and humming all the way home!
