EXHIBITION: Angela Abbott - Reflections - A Retrospective

"Reflections" - A Retrospective Exhibition by Angela Abbott

Angela Abbott's Barn Gallery Exhibition represents a life journey through the art of observation and painting.

The past thirty years have been formative, as an artist and teacher at Montsalvat.

Five decades of work reflect time as art student; in Central Australia; member of Eltham based "Seven Painters"; Bale Scholarship overseas study recipient and

later directions...

Her solid study of tonal painting echoes Montsalvat's founders, seeking visual truth.

Subjects range widely, from construction of West Gate Bridge, a study of the bridge in 2021, to sketches of Montsalvat identities!

Sumi and gouache works reflect time in Japan, a favourite source of recent interest.
