Montsalvat is thrilled to welcome back iconic jazz pianist Bob Sedergreen!

Bob has toured extensively both around Australia and overseas, including Montreal, Malaysia and Europe. He has been advisor to the Montsalvat International Jazz Festival and for three years as artistic director organised USA headliners Eddie Henderson, Nat Adderley Quintet and the McCoy Tyner Trio.
As an educator, Bob has lectured at the Victorian College of the Arts and the University of Melbourne's Faculty of Music. He has also been an artist-in-residence at many Victorian secondary schools.
Bob loves to be the lynch pin presenting musicians who deserve to be recognised. On bass, Jon Chidgey and on drums is Mark Voogd, a versatile, empathetic, and tasteful player who responds perfectly to his fellow musicians. On trumpet and vocals, you can hear jazz royalty, Paul Coyle. Paul plays with Bomba and The Melbourne Ska Orchestra. Our special guest for this event is tenor saxophonist Savannah Blount whose big, warm, articulate and happy sounds impress wherever she performs. The late great Don Borrows OAM (Sydney) and Bob recognised her talent early in her career. The music at this concert will reflect the eclectic tastes of all five players. A night not to be missed.
