Come along to Montsalvat for an exciting sculptural lantern workshop to celebrate the winter season! Join fellow creative souls and work together with a friend or community member in this two-hour workshop to create a unique star-shaped lantern! Participants should work in pairs, creating one lantern per pair. You will be guided by artists from Sanctum Studios who are highly skilled in lantern-making.

After the workshops, lanterns will be kept in safe storage and will be exhibited at our upcoming special event Montsalvat WinterFest! Join us on Saturday 8th July 5pm – 9pm to see your creation lit up and installed somewhere in the Montsalvat grounds and gardens! Lanterns (excluding solar light) can be collected by participants on selected dates after the event.

This workshop is recommended for people over the age of 15. People under 15 years of age must be accompanied by an adult and guided by them to ensure they complete the lantern in the 2 hour time frame. Please be sure you arrive on time for the start of the session so that you have the maximum amount of time to make and complete your lantern together!

The Nillumbik Shire Council Arts team will also be present at the workshops to assist participants.
